Photography is something that has been important to me ever since I have been old enough to hold a camera. Throughout my life I have taken many pictures and here I want to show the most recent ones from the last few years.
This page is organized into different categories, starting with my personal top five favorites, followed by sections such as wildlife, sunsets, and more.
Favorites
In the following section you will first see my top five favorite photos taken in the last couple of years.
Wildlife
All of these photos were taken of animals in the wild and free. Some of these animals were attracted by human activities, but they remain wild nonetheless. I hope you enjoy these majestic creatures.
Animals
These pictures show a diverse range of animals. The elephant pictures were taken at an elephant sanctuary in northern Thailand. The pandas and monkey were photographed at "Ouwehands Zoo", the cat in the wild at a cat sanctuary on mountains of the Azores, and the kitten is my own. The parrot was captured at "Wildlands" zoo.
Sunsets
These sunsets were captured all over the world, including Bali and Gili Trawangan in Indonesia; Harlingen and Dronryp in the Netherlands; and the Amazonas and Hucachina in Peru. May these photots bring you a sense of calm and inspiration.
Life(style)
I call this section Lifes(tyle), as it captures diverse moments of everyday life. Moments with beauty often unnoticed. Whether that is a beer while taking in the sights of Hamburg, decorating homes for Christmas, participating in a holy water temple ritual, or savoring a simple glass of wine in the evening, each moment is worth celebrating. I hope you can see their stories within.
Traveling
These photos capture different moments from my travels. Over my lifetime, I have had the privilege of visiting 22 countries and counting. These are just impressions of what this world has to offer. To not repeat myself, I only chose pictures not yet seen above. Let me take you on this journey.
